Spark the Arts sounds great, right? But you’re probably interested in what it actually is. Basically once every two months on a saturday night, anyone who feels like it can come showcase their talent in front of an audience, here at Levels. With a coffee house type atmosphere you can enjoy short presentations such as singing, dance routines, slideshows, skits, not to mention hilarious improv… and anything else that crosses your mind. Hello fellow Leveloids!
If you were not already aware, my name is Rachel and I am awesome. If you go to Levels and you do not know who I am, you are probably deaf. Or blind. Or glued to the gaming system. If so, your eyes probably hurt and looking at me can’t possibly help. I’m not quite sure what to write, except for the fact that Levels rocks majorly and if you do not attend Levels, you are lacking awesomeness. I strongly suggest you come to Levels to receive your daily dose of awesome. And by daily, I am excluding Sundays.
The current show at Levels is Little Shop of Horrors and it is about a giant man eating plant. Don’t get me wrong, carnivorous plants that sing can be very intimidating, but I promise you, the shows are always fun. So come be a part of it!

Levels Part VIII

This blog IS for discussion about art, av tech, music, music production, crafts, theatre, dance, puppetry, cooking, games, politics, religion, each other, life in general or anything else creative, productive or otherwise that you would do at Levels. Or even if you’re not from L.I. or have never been to Levels, please, enjoy yourself here. It IS NOT a place for anything mean to be said, criticism is invited, but cruelty is not. Nor anything illegal (dead baby jokes are in the gray).
This blog, like Levels, is meant to be a haven. Levels is a community center in the basement of the Great Neck Library for anyone ages 13-21 (but Alumnus are welcome here), a place to learn and do many art forms, most of which are listed above. But Leveloids don’t just come here for the arts, Levels is also a place to sit and think, to talk things out with each other, personal or worldly. And I encourage you all to do the same, talk, think, participate in your life and the world, because otherwise, why are you here?
We begin this blog with the spirit of Levels. But the spirit of Levels is not at its beginning. This blog will document stories, thoughts and feelings of Levels and its ‘oids. Many years have been missed (many future days will as well), and we have calculated that Levels is most likely in its 8th cultural/social generation. And so, we start from the middle…
